Finding the best time to travel

Okinawa, Japan

It’s best to avoid the rainy and typhoon seasons in Okinawa, which is typically between May and August. The best time to cruise to Okinawa is from March to April and September to November.

Sanya, China

Those planning to seek fun in the sun in Sanya should consider cruising between the months of October and March. The rest of the months might be affected by the tropical maritime monsoon climate which is synonymous with high temperatures and typhoon season.

Naha, a coastal city with chill vibes, will allure anyone with its splendid views, exciting water sports, seafood delicacies, and high-end shopping experience. One of the must-visit attractions is the vibrant Kokusai Street, dotted with retail outlets, bars, cafes, arts and craft shops, and more. After wandering this lively street, be sure to check out the “Kitchen of Okinawa” or Makishi Public Market, famous for its fresh seafood.

What’s a visit to Naha without going to Naminoue Beach? Here is where you can sunbathe all day and enjoy all the fun water activities to your heart’s desire. Not far from the beach-goer’s paradise is the storied Naminoue Shrine, believed to be the source of all life according to Okinawan mythology. Feel the urge to shop? T-Galleria Okinawa welcomes you with open doors!

After you’re done exploring Naha, it’s time to uncover Miyakojima and all its wonders. This gem is tucked away from bustling city life and, thus, serves as the perfect off-grid getaway for those who love hitting a less-crowded beach that offers both above and underwater charms.

Golfing and cycling are some of the land activities you can enjoy here. To soak in the blue ocean, you can go snorkelling or diving among its enchanting coral reefs and greet its marine residents. Some of the popular beaches here include Yonaha Maehama Beach, Sunayama Beach, and Painagama Beach — all boasting aqua-blue water with pearl-white sands.

Unmissable attractions in Sanya, China

Standing proudly at 108m height is the three-sided Guanyin of Nanshan (Goddess of Mercy) statue, the tallest Guanyin statue in the world, residing peacefully in The Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone. So, while you’re there, don’t miss the chance to see this wonder up close and visit the Nanshan Temple, which serves as the door to China’s rich Buddhist heritage.

At the southernmost tip of Hainan is Sanya, a gorgeous island boasting stunning beaches, fresh seafood, tropical fruits, and fascinating local culture. While you're here, be sure to visit the Yalong Bay, a crescent-shaped, sandy white beach offering vacationers the best swimming, diving, and yachting experience.

Did we mention Sanya is the world's largest duty-free shopping destination? That's right, and you should go to the Yalong Bay No.1 Outlet to enjoy this privilege! At this shopping mall, you can shop for local seafood, international cuisines, and high-end clothes to your heart's content.
